Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass in Athens on the 3rd of October in 1962. He was the son of David Lee Thomas Bass (American U.S. Army sergeant) and Vassiliki "Voula"Voula Papadimitriou (Greek, Basilike Papademetriou), a contestant in the year 1957's Miss Greece beauty contest. He is the younger brother of Athena, who is also a drummer. When Lee was around two years [4] old his father emigrated his family back to the United States, settling in California.Lee got his first drum sticks at just four years old. It was his first drum kit when he was in his teens. Lee quit high school to pursue a career in music, beginning with Suite 19, a L.A.-based club band. He was a fan of Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and Cheap Trick while a teen. His primary drumming influences are John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, Alex Van Halen and Terry Bozzio
